Project Tight Knit

Project Tight Knit (PTK) is dedicated to creating social connections and improving the well-being of the elderly and marginalized communities through the power of letter writing. Established in May 2020, we have been committed to fighting social isolation and loneliness among seniors in nursing homes, Indigenous communities, and other vulnerable groups.

Our Mission

Our mission is to create meaningful connections and promote social integration by:

Host monthly letter-writing events where participants gather to write letters together in a group setting.

Run informative workshops for high school students to raise awareness about social inclusion

Grow our presence in local community centers and actively involve more community members, including the youth.

Our Impact

Delivered over 1,180 heartfelt letters to 23 nursing homes across Ontario
